ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The China Crystalline Treasures collection is a long-time project of Dr. Robert Lavinsky that spans the last 25 years of his fine mineral collecting interests. Dr. Lavinsky has been dealing in fine minerals since he first exhibited in Tucson at age 14.
In becoming one of the foremost experts in Chinese minerals, Dr. Lavinsky discovered certain exceptional pieces that he simply couldn’t sell, and these specimens have become a part of his private collection.
Dr. Lavinsky is proud to give the public the chance to experience these exceptional minerals from China. Selections from the collection have been displayed at the University of Arizona’s Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, among other locations.
